Turks and Caicos Fishing

Pine Cay in the Turks and Caicos Islands - Fishing Information

The Meridian Club provides a great experience for anyone planning a vacation who wants the opportunity to fish.

There is deep sea fishing available just 5-10 minutes from our Caribbean island resort, as well as reef fishing for grouper, snapper and more. The "wadeable" flats around our island and elsewhere on the Caicos Bank offer great bonefishing, one of the most satisfying pastimes in the Caribbean

How We Help Get You Out on the Water

The Meridian Club provides:

  • A knowledgeable guide
  • Proper boats
  • Fishing tackle when needed
  • Assistance with arranging outside charters when requested

It's not uncommon for guests to mingle with owners of properties on Pine Cay, and end up going out fishing together at secret spots known only to the locals and property owners.

Turks and Caicos Fishing Licenses

In the Turks and Caicos, fishing licenses are required for all fishermen over 15 years of age and, under new regulations, for any person in a fishing boat over 15 years old, whether they fish or not. The Meridian Club is authorized by the Fisheries Department to issue one day and 30-day licenses as a convenience to our guests, although we must charge the fees required and remit them to the TCI Treasury.

A Reminder

We do have very capable guides, proper boats and all necessary equipment. However, unlike dedicated fishing camps, we don't have the number of boats and guides necessary to accommodate large groups of fishermen who wish to fish every day. If our guides are otherwise occupied, we can usually make alternative arrangements with a competent local charter operator to take you out given sufficient notice.
