“Heaven on Earth”
SandyDollar2011, Ontario, Canada, on TripAdvisor

If it's a unique Caribbean experience with uncrowded beaches, unsurpassed service, genuinely friendly
staff and management, fine cuisine, unspoiled, unparalled natural beauty and safety you're looking for
then look no further than "The Meridian Club", a privately owned 800 acre island on Pine Cay, Turks and Caicos.
This is the place to unwind and de-stress. My husband and I could not have imagined a better way to celebrate
our 25th Wedding Anniversary and vow renewal than on the sunset cruise with our eight closest new friends!
The rooms are well appointed, air conditioning is not needed. We loved our private outdoor bamboo shower,
sunsets and cocktails with friends from the club house balcony, snorkeling, fishing, beach combing and kayaking
at the aquarium. Mode of transport is by golf cart. The pool BBQ and Jump Up was great fun with a talented
musician who kept us dancing the night away. We were met at the airport in a timely manner, whisked away for
a 20 minute boat ride with complimentary rum punch to "Heaven on Earth" and memories we will treasure for
the rest of our lives.

“A Trip to Paradise”

My husband and I just returned from our daughters wedding at the Meridan Club on Pine Cay. The wedding,
the island, the Meridan Club and the weather were perfect. We were fortunate enough to spend 10 days in
Paradise. Bev and the rest of the staff made sure every detail was attended to. The meals were delicious and
the desserts exquisite. If you ever want a perfect setting for a wedding or other gathering of close family
and friends, consider this private island in Paradise. It was perfect!

“What a Great Time!”
BobK, Vermont, on TripAdvisor
April 27, 2011 |
My wife and I just spent several days at the Meridian Club on Pine Cay, our first trip there. The accommodations
were very clean, spacious and comfortable. The food was very good and the service was excellent. This location
is beautiful and truly peaceful, and right on a gorgeous private beach.
While you can enjoy activities each day such as snorkeling out at the reef, fishing or shell collecting at an
adjacent island, the real value of this full service resort is peace and quiet, and terrific swimming; no TV,
motors, audible music, or other distractions permitted. It took us just a couple of hours to get in the swing
of things and begin to unwind. We found the other guests friendly and the managers (and all the staff)
continually cordial and helpful. We plan to return next year.

“Food was so very delicious!”
Pepper4prez, Ottawa, Canada, on TripAdvisor
Dec 17, 2010 |
At the end of November 2010, my husband and I stayed at The Meridian Club on Pine Cay. I must admit that we had
been anticipating our stay at this resort for quite a few years, so our expectations were high. AND we were not
disappointed!
Service & Staff - Were beyond reproach, attentive, professional, discrete and friendly! We have been traveling to
the Caribbean for more than 20 years and I can easily say that this was the best service, nothing was overlooked
and attention was paid to every detail.
Accommodations - Our room was spacious, clean and well designed. We had a large sleeping area with a king sized bed,
a dressing area with built in shelving and plenty of hanging space; a sitting room, a screened-in porch and an outdoor
seating area complete with an outdoor shower. The room was meticulously cleaned everyday with plenty of towels and
fresh bedding.
Food - Was so very delicious! Breakfast was buffet style with the options of having a variety of hot choices such
as omelets, French toast, eggs any way etc. Lunches were set as a buffet with hot and cold choices and homemade
desserts too! Dinner on most nights was a la carte, definitely 4 star cuisine; a couple of nights was an outdoor
BBQ with at least three different choices. With a pastry chef on staff we were well looked after. Every night
from 6 to 7:30 cocktails were served, this was a fun way to meet the other guests.
Activities - Daily at 10 a.m. a boat was available to go to the reef for some snorkeling also you could request
to be dropped off on Ft-George for some serious beachcombing. Deep sea fishing and bone fishing were also available.
Every Wednesday evening a short movie is shown outdoors near the runway, people line up their golf carts to watch
the show with popcorn. A favorite activity was walking on the pristine 2 mile beach, so very beautiful.

“Breath-Taking”
SkiAspen, Aspen, CO, on TripAdvisor

...breath-taking! This is a private island that offers relaxation, great beaches, excellent food, with great hospitality! You can choose to sit and spend the day relaxing on the beach that feels like your own private beach or go fishing with the locals that know all the great fishing spots...and don't be surprised when your catch of the day ends up on your dinner plate that night!
I would highly recommend this resort/island for your next vacation!

“Absolutely the trip of a lifetime!!”
sshope, Houston, Texas
Nov 24, 2010 |
My husband and I spent a week at The Meridian Club celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. From our warm welcome
at the marina to our "sad farewell" at the end of the week, we were simply in vacation heaven! The Sand Dollar cottage
was charming, the beach was unbelievable, the food was fantastic, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Although we
happened to be on Pine Cay during Hurricane Tomas, Bev and Wally took great care of us, and never for a moment did
we feel that we were in danger.

“Best vacation of our lives”
By Jenna Wernovsky, on travel.yahoo.com
July 6, 2010 |
No, that is not an exaggeration. The Meridian Club offered superb
5-star efficient service with a laid back feel. There was easy access to all sorts of activities,
nature walks and day trips. We experienced some of the best snorkeling and diving we have ever seen.
The food was fresh and included all varieties of meat, fish, vegan and even gluten free options
which rivaled upscale restaurants in U.S. cities. Mark, who was in charge of all things gustatory, was
always available to make our daily dining an integral part of our overall experience. Amy, the pastry
chef, quite simply, was awesome. Our group numbered 40 and ranged from ages 5 to 55 and every single
person had an equally positive feeling as we did. Amazingly, despite the size of our group, every
single member of the staff knew all of our names by the end of the first day. We can't wait to go back again!

“a week etched in everyone's memories”
Anne and Calvin Frost, Lake Forest, Illinois
June 23, 2010 |
Dear Bev and Wally:
We want to thank you so much for providing our family with a week filled with fun, excitement,
and adventure. It will be a week etched in everyone’s memories.
Besides the activities you orchestrated, including balloons, birthday cake parade, fireworks,
then the bonfire, we both think one of the highlights was the care and patience extended to
our family by you and the entire staff. It was incredible and heartwarming to watch. It made
everyone part of a homogeneous family. You both and the entire staff helped us so much in
creating a wonderful family event…

“favorite destination of this entire trip”
e-mail from Vadim and Christina, Napa Valley, California
May 11, 2010 |
We miss you all!!! ****** is nice, but not for us... does not in any way, shape, or form compare to our
favorite destination of this entire trip.. ‘Pine Cay’ -- we will return 100%
Vadim and I immediately became sad once we arrived here on ******. It is very large and not personable...
reminds us more like a hotel experience in Hawaii... we spent hours trying to formulate a plan to leave and
get back to Pine Cay!! Yes true story!! and if we could we would have!! that is how much we missed it.

“the perfect place to reconnect and relax”
Posted on Tripadvisor by LB Brown, Leesburg, Virginia
May 10, 2010 |
We loved our stay at the Meridian Club. It was our anniversary and this was the perfect
place to reconnect and relax. The rooms are LOVELY and have every amenity that you might need ….. You leave
your room and you are ON THE BEACH. The food was amazing - a Top Chef contestant was their Chef. Wow! The
activities were great - we loved the snorkeling and sea kayaking. This is one of the longest and most deserted
beaches I have ever seen. Bev and Wally were great and made you feel incredibly welcome - as did the entire
staff. We got to experience so fun events - the Glow Worm cruise and "movie night" on the airstrip….. The
location is spectacular and easy to get to from the US. We were glad there was no disco or real nightlife.
We wanted peace and quiet and we got it. Overall a good balance of privacy and interaction/activities…….
Thank you Meridian Club for a wonderful 2nd Honeymoon

“like being on a deserted island”
Posted on Tripadvisor by mikeyc181, Toronto, Canada
Jan. 25, 2010 |
The beach is amazing and for the time we were there, completely deserted. Only twice did we see
anyone walking down the beach. It was like being on a deserted island, the water crystal azure blue,
some days there were waves, other days calm...
My wife and I went for a little cruise over to Fort George Cay for a romantic lunch, they gave us
a cooler with some wine and beer, some sandwiches, salads, a couple of chairs and an umbrella. They gave
us a radio to call the harbourmaster when we wanted to come back, he eventually came to get us, I did
not want to leave, I was in this ocean paradise walking out around a 1000' and the water was up to my
knees...unreal.
On Wednesday night it is movie night, so what you ask? All the guests have golf carts to cruise
over to the air strip for an outdoor movie night under the stars, bowl of hot buttered popcorn and a
few drinks and a flick. You are not going to get that anywhere else. You are so far off the beaten path
there are no bright lights, only the stars. The week we were there there was a meteor shower all week.
I would get up in the night and watch them.
The resort is managed by Bev and Wally, it is through their effort and their amazing staff that make
Pine Cay so special, at least in my opinion.

Peace, privacy and comfort in a beautiful unspoilt setting, that's the Meridian Club on Pine Cay TCI. No cars, or TV, just wonderful beaches, a massive
room on the beach, lying in bed at night listening the sea, amazing staff and food so good it pleased a difficult and demanding gourmet husband. If you want the Caribbean as it used to be then this is
the place for you.

“absurdly gorgeous beach”
Posted on Tripadvisor by MadlyHB, San Diego, CA.
Aug. 16, 2009 |
I've always dreamed of a tropical paradise where I could walk for hours on a perfect beach and never be afraid. A woman alone can walk for two full
miles and not a see a living soul - this is simply the most astonishing gift I have ever experienced. The water is warm and clear - gorgeous……. your own deserted island with full service -
this is the spot. I hope to be going back every year until I am too decrepit to get on a plane. When life gets too hectic sometimes i look up at my pictures of that absurdly gorgeous beach and take a
deep breath so happy I know it is there.

| “naturally beautiful, simple and unspoiled” Posted on Tripadvisor by sffamily52, San Francisco
June 3, 2009, |
“Pine Cay was everything we had hoped it would be. The beach and the water are lovely beyond words…..The rooms are large and comfortable
and open right onto the sand, just a stone’s throw from the water…..I cannot say enough good things about the Meridian Club or its beautiful island, wonderful staff, friendly guests and
members and …its food. (Make sure you bring your hollow leg, because the food is so delicious and the desserts are truly irresistible.) It is hard to find a place nowadays that has remained as
naturally beautiful, simple and unspoiled as this island…..” |

| “perfect blend of simplicity and millions of details" Posted on Tripadvisor by triwlLA, Los Angeles
May 29, 2009 |
“Our honeymoon at The Meridian Club was a perfect blend of simplicity and millions of details…..The rooms are airy, fresh and roomy with a
bathroom, dressing room, bedroom, small sitting area, screened-in porch, outside porch, outside shower, and private tiki on the beach. The pictures do not do the rooms and this resort justice. I was a
little concerned that this would be "rustic" for a honeymoon.... I was totally wrong. We were greeted with fresh flowers, crisp white towels, and immaculate service every day when we left for
breakfast, and again at night, when we returned from dinner to find our bed neatly turned down…..The staff and general feeling of this place somehow manage to make one feel as if you are family,
while at the same time, being treated like royalty……If you are self-directed travelers, you have met your Mecca. There are activities abounding, yet you are left to your own devices to
decide what and when…..I cannot say enough good things about the Meridian Club. If you are looking for TRULY getting away, this is the place for you.” |

| “ better than ever”
Andrew Harper Member
Jan. 2009 |
"We returned (Jan, 2009) recently from our eighth stay in the last 14 years, after a three-year interval. The Meridian Club is better than ever. .
. Returned managers Bev and Wally Plachta really know how to run a quiet, luxury resort. The rooms have been renovated/freshened very nicely, and the bedding raised to premium levels. The executive chef
and the pastry chef (both from Vermont) are brilliant, with an eye on health as well. (Well, the unbelievably attractive desserts may be hazardous to your health.) The food quality has risen from
"excellent" to "first-rate". The enclosed Internet room is a good compromise between isolation and peace, with a respectable connection speed. Cell phone use in public is still
blessedly prohibited . . . ”

“Just returned from a great Caribbean vacation at The Meridian Club on Pine Cay in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Great tiny resort with 13 beachfront 'cottages' on a
2mi gorgeous glistening white beach with incredibly blue water….. Fabulous service. Unbelievable meals included in the rate. Breakfast and lunch are always eaten at tables under thatch umbrellas
on the patio…..Went snorkeling every day on their specially designed snorkel boat. Nothing to do in the evenings after dinner except stroll down the 2mi beach under the moon & stars. Bicycles,
kayaks, hobie cats, great fishing, hiking, and tennis. Thatch umbrellas and lounge chairs on the beach for every cottage. Boats & guides for bone and sport fishing. Boat trips to deserted beaches and
iguana nature preserve on close by private cays.,,,, 20min boat ride and a world away from the hustle and bustle of Grace Bay Beach at Providenciales..,,”

I was just thinking of our wonderful time at the Meridian Club a few short months ago. The slower, healing pace, the gentle sea breezes, the pristine white sand
beach.........And as vegetarians, we were thrilled with the food - incredible vegetarian fare your amazing kitchen staff went out of their way to prepare for us during our stay. Unbelievable! We also
appreciated the intrinsic "greenness" of your resort and the efforts towards development of additional sustainable energy and natural resource practices as well.
Please tell all your wonderful staff thank you for us and we look forward to our return!

“The beach continues to be the best in the Caribbean.”
Harold of Sherborn, Mass.
January, 2008
|
"I have been going to The Meridian Club for a bit over twenty years and have basically loved it each time I was there. Three years ago there was a change in the
management of the Club and things went down hill quite a bit. It was still better than a lot of places, but not like it had been. I went back in December as I had heard that Bev and Wally had been
rehired to manage the property.
That was a very smart move on the Club’s part. They had been there a number of years, left three years ago, and it is wonderful they have returned
……… The food was the best I have ever had there. Bev has had the rooms completely done over and they are very refreshing and sparkling. She has a magic touch and it shows everywhere.
The new gift shop in the lobby is wonderful ………
Wesley and the long time staff are still firmly ensconced and they of course remember everyone. The beach continues to be the best in the Caribbean. The Club has five new
power boats for the various activities ……......
Bev and Wally have brought new attention to everything and I think the Club has never been better than it is today……"
